Direct Factories & Quality

Display Engineer modules are manufactured in our direct factories, which build them in-house. Shenzhen PengJi Photoelectricity in Shipai Town, Dongguan, is one of them, with automated COG and FOG bonding, backlight assembly, touch lamination and optical bonding. Modules are electrically and optically inspected and aged before shipment, and new designs pass reliability tests such as temperature cycling and humidity exposure.

Shenzhen PengJi Photoelectricity Co., Ltd.

PengJi is one of Display Engineer's direct factories and backs the manufacturing of Display Engineer modules. It designs and manufactures TFT LCD modules from 0.96″ to 31.5″, together with backlights, capacitive and resistive touch panels and driver boards, in its own industrial park in Dongguan.

From glass to module

A TFT display module is assembled from a TFT glass cell, a driver IC, a flexible circuit, a backlight and, optionally, touch and cover glass. Each step affects yield and long-term reliability, which is why our direct factories run these steps themselves.

Inspection

Electrical test: current consumption, interface function, display patterns.
Optical inspection: dead and bright pixels, lines, Mura, brightness and uniformity against the datasheet limits.
Aging (burn-in): modules run for a defined period before final inspection to screen early failures.

Reliability testing for new designs

Typical qualification tests include high- and low-temperature operation and storage, temperature cycling or thermal shock, high-temperature/high-humidity exposure, and vibration. Test conditions and results are documented in the product's reliability report, available on request with the datasheet.
