Replacing a parallel RGB panel
The AT065TN14 uses TTL (parallel RGB). At 800×480 and 60 Hz the pixel clock is about 27.6 MHz. When you move to an alternative, check:
- Timing: horizontal/vertical blanking and DE or SYNC mode must match what your controller generates.
- Colour depth: a 6-bit (18-bit bus) host can drive an 8-bit panel with the low bits tied, and vice versa with dithering.
- Connector and pinout: same pin count does not mean the same pin map; an adapter FPC is often enough.
- Backlight and touch: LED driver, brightness and whether the original had a resistive or capacitive touch layer.
