GT911 troubleshooting & FAQ

Why is my GT911 not detected on I2C?

The address depends on the INT pin during reset. Hold INT low during reset for 0x5D or high for 0x14, then release INT as an input. Also confirm pull-ups on SDA/SCL.

Why are GT911 touch coordinates mirrored?

The configuration registers define X/Y resolution and orientation. Swap or invert axes in your driver, or rewrite the config block with the correct resolution and checksum.
